CLIA requirements to perform specified job duties, preferred: A minimum of 60 semester hours with: 24 hours in medical lab technology OR 24 hours with (6-chemistry, 6-biology, and 12 hours in chemistry, biology, medical technology in any combination AND three months documented lab training in high complexity testing by specialty. The Histology Technician, Certified is responsible for obtaining and preparing tissue specimens for microscopic examination.
