p>Job Overview: Patient Care Associate's perform a variety of routine and advanced patient care tasks under the direction of nursing staff to assist medical and nursing personnel in the examination, treatment, and care of patients.
Assists professional staff by participating in direct and indirect patient care to include performing EKGs, finger stick glucose, phlebotomy, wound care, obtaining and recording vital signs, and performing materials management and maintenance as directed by the professional staff and in accordance with approved policies and procedures. EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in performing phlebotomy/EKG and basic emergency care, operating emergency room equipment, operating a computer utilizing a variety of software applications strongly preferred.
