SS Landscaping is adding paver construction foremen to our construction team(s). This position directly impacts the success of our construction department. Job Requirements:<ul><li>Review plans, specifications and notes with Project Managers or estimators, as needed, prior to job start to ensure complete understanding of the project requirements.</li><li>Review and compare plans, specifications, proposal and notes with site conditions for verification and layout.</li><li>Coordination with owners, general contractors, architects, homeowners, etc.</li><li>Various forms of documentation including: extra work tickets, daily reports, safety forms, time sheets, field files, etc.</li><li>Review and documentation of changes made on as-built drawings.</li><li>Delegation of responsibilities to subordinates to ensure maximum efficiency on site.</li><li>Preparation of critical paths, forecast and schedule upcoming needs of: materials, labor, equipment to maintain project durations.</li><li>Operation of heavy equipment as necessary (Excavators, Skid Steer, Forklift).</li><li>Operation of hand and task specific tools (Demolition Saw, Tile Saw, various Hoists, Grinders, etc.)</li><li>Layout, organization and quality control of paver installation.</li><li>Able to twist and/or lift, (such as shoveling, lifting, loading, skreeting, etc)</li><li>Able to bend, kneel, or squat for prolonged period of time.</li><li>Able to reach above shoulder height</li><li>Able to climb into truck bed, work on sloping ground</li><li>Able to handle equipment, such as wheelbarrow, shovels, rakes, brooms, etc.</li><li>Able to work in varying weather conditions</li><li>English speaking</li><li>Valid driver's license</li><li>5+ years experience</li></ul>SS Landscaping is a family owned business operating for the past 45 years. We are looking for an experienced Paver Operator that likes to work outside and takes pride in a job completed safely and efficiently.SUMMARYDrives and operates pavers, as well as one or more machines such as backhoes, grinders, graders, lowboys, roller, jackhammer, compressors, and trucks. To perform specified activity such as moving material, leveling, grading, and paving by performing the following duties.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.<ul><li>Has working knowledge of equipment operation for machines assigned, including driving.</li><li>Checks equipment daily for oil, fluid levels, damage and wear areas (teeth, grinder, etc.). Fuels equipment daily.</li><li>Ability to determine speed and direction on machine, based on knowledge of compressibility of material under changing temperatures, so that ridges do not form by excessive pressure.</li><li>Thorough understanding of all aspects of paving industry prep work, grades, drainage, paving patterns, aggregate size, job specifications, oil consistencies, compaction and other details related to asphalt paving.</li><li>Reports all damage or required repairs as needed to the mechanic on duty in a timely manner.</li><li>Completes equipment checklist and turns in on a daily basis.</li><li>Loads and unloads equipment from trailers. Ensures that equipment is correctly secured on trailers.</li><li>Ensures equipment is cleaned at the end of each job, each day.</li><li>Operates equipment safely at all times.
