Candidates are expected to work in person. - Process and manage payroll across four operating divisions containing 350 employees on a weekly basis.- Calculate and verify employee hours, wages, and deductions including garnishments, levies, and other wage withholdings.- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.- Stay informed about changes in payroll regulations and best practices.- Reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts and resolve any discrepancies.- Document all transactions related to an employee's wage.- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll tax filings.- Generate and distribute employee W-2s and other tax statements.- Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management.- Coordinate with employees on payroll-related issues and updates.- Maintain and update employee payroll records in the system.- Manage direct deposit setups and changes for employees.- Address and resolve payroll discrepancies and inquiries from employees.- Participate in audits by providing necessary payroll information and documentation.- Perform system testing as required for software/hardware upgrades, implementations, and integrations. Requirements: -Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing.- Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field is a plus, but not required.- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., Paylocity, ADP, Paychex, or similar platforms).- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.- Excellent organizational and time management skills.- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.- Knowledge of payroll best practices and compliance requirements.- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred.- Experience with multi-state payroll processing is a plus.
