The Medical Assistant (MA) performs assigned tasks of direct and indirect care in the ambulatory setting to meet the care needs of patients under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP). This role may require access to information considered sensitive to Albany Medical Center, its patients, affiliates, and partners, including but not limited to HIPAA Protected Health Information and other information regulated by Federal and New York State statutes.
