Essential functions: Demonstrates the knowledge and ability to: Provide crises intervention as needed, Provide individual therapy, and refer to other appropriate clinicians for group or family therapy, based on the inter-disciplinary treatment plan, Demonstrate the knowledge and ability to provide substance abuse evaluation, Assess the need for hospitalization, residential or outpatient treatment, Interact and communicate with patients and staff in an age appropriate, cultural sensitive, non-threatening, productive manner, Refer to appropriate staff or case management services to include social services SVS, CPS, and Domestic Violence Program, Ensure and complete all documentation of contacts, care of patients, and response to treatment in the medical records, Demonstrate the ability to conduct an assessment of patient abuse or neglect and implements appropriate interventions, Participate as necessary in developing effective initial treatment plans and treatment plan reviews in the multi-disciplinary treatment planning meeting.
