The prospective employee will provide Certified Medical Assistant services as delineated below for the inmate population at the Federal Correctional Complex, Forrest City, Arkansas.Location: Federal Correctional Complex, Forrest City 1400 Dale Bumpers Rd, Forrest City, AR 72335.Pay: $22.84 per hour.Sign-on bonus: $2,500.Benefits:<ul><li>Health insurance.</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Vision insurance.</li><li>401k.</li><li>Paid sick leave.</li><li>Paid vacation.</li><li>11 paid holidays.</li><li>Flexible work schedule: Monday through Friday (except Federal holidays) between the hours of 7:30am-4:00pm.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>US citizenship is required.</li><li>Must be certified/registered in their field of study and shall provide documentation of completion of a Medical Assistant course of study.</li><li>Must have experience in the field of medicine dealing with ill patients, either in a hospital or clinic setting.</li><li>Shall be certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in accordance with the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association.</li></ul>Job Description:<ul><li>Respond to requests from various employees and the ability to recognize any given medical terminology from any practitioner. </li><li>Ability to process accurate, error-free written correspondence at the request of various practitioners, using both typewriters and word-processing equipment without supervision.</li><li>Shall obtain laboratory samples, do routine phlebotomy.</li><li>Perform other tests as required by the medical needs of the inmate.</li><li>Conduct audiometric and/or visual testing.</li><li>Perform EKG’s.</li><li>Obtain vital signs.</li><li>Perform other functions of a clinical nature like subcutaneous, intradermal and intramuscular injections, PPD planting and reading to ensure that the medical needs of the inmates are being met.</li><li>Obtain medical histories and assist in emergency medical treatment of inmate patients.</li><li>File medical records and obtain records for the physician assistants, physician, and Health Services Administrator.</li><li>Recording symptoms and vital signs, dressing changes.</li></ul>#IND1
