Required Qualifications: Two years of operating room nursing experience; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications; experience with blood and blood product administration, ambulatory operating room procedures, electrosurgical units, fiber-optic light sources and cords, infection control, pediatric cardiovascular operating room procedures, pediatric general operating room procedures, thoracic surgery scrubbing, specimen handling and labeling, trauma procedures, universal time-out procedures, scrubbing, and circulating. Responsibilities include supporting procedures involving neurological, orthopedic, plastic, ophthalmic, genitourinary, gastrointestinal, ear, nose, and throat, general, gynecological, spine, and dental specialties.
