Experience shall be demonstrated in the following areas: Open heart surgery, heart lung machine, membrane oxygenation, left/right heart bypass, intra-aortic balloon pumping and centrifugal ventricular assist device.

Overview Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting multiple Cardiac Perfusionist to support the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Healthcare Center located at 3001 Green Bay Road, North Chicago, IL 60064. The work schedule is expected to be Monday-Friday with on call. If you accept employment with Ansible, you must also acknowledge that any assigned schedule is subject to change at the direction of either Ansible or its customers. Responsibilities<ul><li>Shall assist the Cardio-Thoracic service with by-pass surgical cases and valve replacement of various types.</li><li>Shall perform onsite perfusion services in the treatment of care of eligible veteran beneficiaries as referred and authorized by the Captain James A. Lovell VAMC.</li><li>Responsible for preparation and operation of the heart and lunch machine/pumps in conjunction with maintaining a sterile environment for procedures maintaining blood volume in the patients preventing shock or air embolus.</li><li>Assemble supplies and equipment in preparation to accept patients on extra corporeal circulation in cases of premature cardiac arrest or failure.</li><li>Other services include preparation, maintenance, and operation of VA owned equipment to include the heart lung machine, intra-aortic balloon pump and centrifugal ventricular assist device.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Education: Candidates must hold a degree in perfusion as described below in paragraphs (1) and (2) that is approved by the VA.<ul><li>(1) Bachelor’s or master’s degree in perfusion from a program in the United States or Canada accredited by the CAAHEP or RQualTM Canada.</li><li>(2) Bachelor’s or master’s degree in addition to a post-baccalaureate certificate in perfusion from a program accredited by CAAHEP or the EQualTM Canada.</li></ul></li><li>Full and unrestricted license to the services covered by this contract issued in any State Territory, or Commonwealth of the Unites States or the District of Columbia.</li><li>Shall be a graduate of an accredited Allied health Education Program School of Perfusion Technology and shall be certified by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion.</li><li>Experience shall be demonstrated in the following areas: Open heart surgery, heart lung machine, membrane oxygenation, left/right heart bypass, intra-aortic balloon pumping and centrifugal ventricular assist device.</li><li>Active certification as an Perfusionist, as well as documentation verifying the current certification.</li><li>Active AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.</li><li>No sponsorship available.</li></ul>All candidates must be able to:<ul><li>Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift</li><li>Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist</li><li>Lift up to 20 lbs</li><li>Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance</li><li>Push/pull with 30 lbs of force</li></ul>All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
