Essential Duties & FunctionsAssure safe, effective, and cost-effective use of drugsMaintains accuracy in age specific issuesStrictly follows all HIPAA and accreditation agency guidelines; assures compliance with Tampa Family Health Center policy and procedure with quality related event disclosure(s)Maintains currency in Florida Board of Pharmacy laws, rules, and regulations; maintains strict record keepingProvide drug information to clinicians and patientsStrict compliance with formulary management and therapeutic substitution initiativesAssure ongoing improvements in therapy and systems through collaborative problem solving, research and participation in facility and department organizational performance initiativesMaintain a working knowledge of the 340(b)-drug programDirect supervision of Pharmacy Technicians, including training and development as well oversite and monitoring of daily activities, monitoring of refrigerator temperatures and expired medsAssist in developing and maintaining quality improvement programs, clinical services, an effective formulary, protocols, guidelines, policy, and procedureParticipates in multi-disciplinary and pharmacy committees, as deemed appropriate by CPOAssist in Adverse Drug Reaction and Medication Error reportingParticipate in pharmacy accreditation and audit preparation and processResponsible for maintaining the operations of pharmacy location, including daily cash and inventory and supplies; ensure workspaces and surrounding areas are cleanResponsible for maintaining and integrating educational updates on CMS regulations (i.e., fraud, waste, and abuse); currency in developments in the community and pharmaceutical fieldsRequired Education, Certifications, Licenses, & Training(minimum requirements)Active and unencumbered license to practice pharmacy in the State of FloridaCurrent BLS CertificationObtain a Statement of Completion Certificate from 340B UNIVERSITY ONDEMAND during first 2 weeks of employmentComplete annually - 340B University renewal course, Peer Review as well as Fraud, Waste and Abuse trainingMaintain a valid BLS card (renew every 2 years)Certified to immunize requiredPharm D is a plusMTM Experience is a plusResidency is a plusRequired Knowledge, Skills, and/or AbilitiesAbility to work with persons from a wide diversity of social, ethnic, and economic backgroundsProficiency in use of Microsoft Word products, including Word, Excel, and OutlookAbility to navigate and enter data into an electronic health record.
