div>The MA State Office of Pharmacy (MSOPS) Pharmacy Distribution Center (PDC) provides medications via central fill in unit dose or blister card form for DDS, DPH, DMH, DOC, and HOC facilities throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Health System Pharmacy is responsible for providing customized pharmacy program solutions that reduce costs and improve patient care quality for hospitals, health systems and other integrated healthcare providers may also consult with and advise healthcare team on prescribed medications, supplies and related processes.

In this role, you'll work alongside Clinical Pharmacists, nurses, and physicians to ensure medications are prepared, delivered, and managed safely throughout the organization. Assists pharmacists with filling prescriptions, answers phones, enters prescriptions into the computer, greets and assists customers, solves non-professional customer service issues; mails prescriptions; uses automated filling machines; files prescriptions and reports; conducts inventory and orders medications; handles third-party insurance, beside delivery to patients within the hospital. Retrieves refill information from the voicemail lines, patient calls, pharmacy requests, my chart, and Patient Renewal Request in the 48 hour window timeframe. Under the direction of the department Nurse Supervisor, the employee will perform a variety of medication refill tech duties in support of the assigned clinical departments at South Shore Medical Center.
Demonstrates strong ability to complete tasks within set time frames, and exercises initiative in problem solving to enhance productivity and efficient operation of the department. Prepares medications and IV solutions for patients using aseptic technique and ensures patient medications are ready when needed.

Elliot Pharmacy provides high-quality and personal prescription services to patients in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, including those whose providers are outside the Elliot network. Interprets physicians’ prescriptions and creates orders, accesses, inputs and retrieves prescription information from the electronic medical record and provides next steps for patient access.
