These supervised tasks and duties include but are not limited to: initiating or receiving communications with patient provider team members to facilitate patient care for: refill authorization requests, assisting in patient appointment review, medical records review, insurance authorization review, processing of prescriptions, including investigational medications utilized in clinical trials in compliance with policies and procedures set forth by the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and/or medications associated with Risk Evaluation Mitigation Strategies (REMS). Quality Assurance: Performs routine quality assurance tasks, including checking extemporaneously manufactured medications, commercially available medications, I.V. solutions and equipment for expiration dates, recalls, or signs of deterioration.
