Patrols high and low crime areas, talking to people in the community, checking buildings and residences, apprehending offenders; Investigates traffic accidents, using measurement devices and eyewitnesses accounts to determine violations, assist motorists, and talk to auto insurance companies and directs traffic flow as warranted and in emergencies; Responds to calls for assistance, complaints, suspicious activity, domestic disputes, loud and disruptive behavior. An employee must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, feeling, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
