Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Responsibilities:Prepares the patient for exam, obtains history and proper imaging Assists with in-office procedures Splinting and casting application and removalCommunicates with MD and PA regarding patient care Obtains patient clinical information through our electronic medical record systemAccurately fits patients with Durable Medical EquipmentDraws injections, as directed by providersFacilitates outside services for patient (i.e., Physical Therapy, Radiology)Ensures that exam rooms are properly stocked and maintainedIdeally, candidates for this position should have a working knowledge of insurances and the ability to provide excellent patient customer service, as well as the ability to assist with a broad spectrum of patients. Competencies:Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential; Bilingual candidates a plus Ability to maintain patient confidentiality Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and employeesQualifications:Must have current certification or registrationMust have a high school diploma or equivalentOne year of experience, preferably within an orthopedic practice, is preferred Reliable transportation to commute to our Fairfield, Milford, Shelton, and Monroe locationsMust have night and weekend availability.
