Based in one of the West Coast’s oldest public hospitals, the EM residency program is a national leader in Emergency Ultrasound, ED (Emergency Department) HIV testing and treatment, non-narcotic analgesia, ED initiated buprenorphine treatment, care of victims of sexual assault, as well as the birthplace of social emergency medicine. Report to departmental leadership and hospital administration, as needed, material concerns about quality of care, delay in delivery of medical services to patients, or any patient concerns.
