The clinical component of the training program consists of a total eight three-month long clinical rotations through all clinical areas of the program, including Patient treatment simulation, 3D treatment planning & dosimetry & delivery, dosimetric measurements, advanced treatment planning (IMRT & VMAT, SRS&SBRT), delivery and QA, quality assurance (linear accelerators and patient specific), low dose rate and high dose rate brachytherapy, radiation treatment techniques, radiation protection, shielding, and safety, imaging principles, including CT, 4DCT,MRI, PET, US, the principles of image fusion and algorithms, imaging in radiotherapy, linear accelerator commissioning, radiation treatment planning system commissioning. The medical physics division in Radiation Oncology Department is currently covering four radiation therapy venues: Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center Main (SCCC Main), Jackson Memorial Hospital (JMH), Sylvester at Deerfield Beach and the Sylvester Cancer Center West (SCCC West).
