Whether you’re just starting out or have a few years of hands-on experience, this is your chance to work on advanced business-class aircraft alongside a dedicated, professional team.</p><h3>Position Summary:</h3><p>As a Sheet Metal Mechanic, you’ll be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and fabricating structural components on turbine-powered, transport-category aircraft. This role blends technical expertise with precision craftsmanship in a fast-paced, safety-first environment. If you’re highly detail-oriented and passionate about aviation, we want to hear from you.</p><h3>Responsibilities:</h3><ul><li>Perform structural maintenance and repairs on transport-category aircraft in compliance with FAA regulations</li><li>Use blueprints, maintenance manuals, and schematics to diagnose and complete structural repairs and modifications</li><li>Fabricate, install, and replace sheet metal components using specialized tools and precise measuring equipment</li><li>Maintain accurate documentation of all repairs and inspections</li><li>Collaborate with FAA representatives, pilots, OEMs, and internal teams to ensure high-quality outcomes</li><li>Support compliance with both Part 145 and Part 135 repair and operational standards</li><li>Adhere to safety protocols while keeping the work area clean and organized</li><li>Work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed</li><li>Perform additional tasks as directed by supervisors</li></ul><h3>Qualifications:</h3><ul><li>Valid FAA Airframe License required; Powerplant License strongly preferred</li><li>1–2 years of recent experience in aircraft structural maintenance (turbine-powered aircraft preferred)</li><li>Experience working in a Part 145 repair station and Part 135 operational environment (required)</li><li>Inspection Authorization (IA) is a plus</li><li>Strong ability to interpret maintenance documents and technical manuals</li><li>Capable of working independently on structural, hydraulic, and mechanical systems</li><li>Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and safety awareness</li></ul><h3>About STS Technical Services:</h3><p>STS Technical Services is a <strong>Top 100 Staffing Firm</strong> that partners with the biggest names in the aviation, defense, manufacturing, and industrial sectors.</p><p>We connect skilled aviation professionals with rewarding career opportunities across the United States.
