TEL Staffing is hiring Helicopter Pilots for an employee-owned company, based out of Salem, VA, for both spray and utility operations. This company conducts a variety of operations ranging from forestry spraying to Firefighting/Charters. Ideal candidates range from newly certified commercial pilots to experienced longline/utility pilots. We offer both Contract (Experienced Pilots) and full-time year-round employment. Ag, HEMS, Fire.</li><li>Powerline inspections</li><li>Powerline construction</li><li>longline experience </li></ul>Required skills/Abilities:<ul><li>Performing pre and post flight inspections of fuel, equipment, and navigational systems.</li><li>Monitoring weather conditions and communicating with air traffic control during flights.</li><li>Must be able to exercise good judgement in a team environment as well as in aircraft operation and safety.</li><li>Determining the safest routes and analyzing flight plans prior to takeoff.</li><li>Must have problem solving and organizational skills.</li><li>Excellent communication and people skills.</li><li>Must be willing to work in an environment that is subject to changing climate conditions and moderate noise levels and move items of 50 pounds or more on a regular basis.</li><li>Active, valid Driver’s License required.</li><li>High school diploma, or GED required.</li><li>Must be able to pass pre-employment background check and FAA. regulated drug/alcohol tests prior to start.
