<p>Job Title: Polisher<br/>Department: Fabrication / Finishing<br/>Reports To: Finishing Supervisor<br/><br/>Location: Schaefer's Electrical Enclosures – Scott City, MO</p><p><br/>Job Type: Full-Time<br/><br/>Position Summary:</p><p>The Polisher plays a key role in the final finish of high-quality electrical enclosures. This position is responsible for preparing metal surfaces by removing welds, scratches, and imperfections through grinding, sanding, and polishing. The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, demonstrates attention to detail, and understands the importance of precision in the finishing process.<br/><br/>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Polish and finish stainless steel and other metals to meet company quality standards</li><li>Remove weld seams, burrs, and surface imperfections using grinders, sanders, and hand tools</li><li>Ensure smooth and consistent surface finishes according to product specifications</li><li>Inspect finished work for defects and ensure it meets quality control standards</li><li>Work closely with welders and fabricators to achieve seamless results</li><li>Maintain a clean and organized work area</li><li>Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE)</li><li>Perform basic preventative maintenance on polishing equipment</li></ul><p>Qualifications:</p><ul><li>High school diploma or GED preferred</li><li>Previous experience in metal polishing, finishing, or fabrication is a plus</li><li>Comfortable working with hand tools and power tools</li><li>Strong eye for detail and commitment to quality</li><li>Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs throughout the shift</li><li>Willingness to learn and take direction</li><li>Dependable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude</li></ul><p>Work Environment:</p><ul><li>Industrial manufacturing floor with exposure to dust, noise, and metal particles</li><li>PPE such as gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection provided and required</li><li>Fast-paced, team-oriented environment</li></ul><p>Why Join Schaefer's Electrical Enclosures?</p><ul><li>Locally owned and operated in Scott City, Missouri</li><li>Competitive pay and benefits</li><li>Stable, year-round work schedule</li><li>Supportive team and opportunities for skill development</li><li>Be part of a company that values craftsmanship and employee contributions</li></ul>

Use of measuring instruments to check parts verifying customer specifications. We provide training and all tools. Must be detail orientated, reliable and follow instructions.  This precision work is critical for the Aerospace Industry.<br/><br/></div><div><strong>Job Hours of Operation:</strong></div><ul><li><strong>HOURS: MONDAY THRU THURSDAY from 6:00am. to 4:30 pm. (40 hours/week).</strong></li></ul><div><br/>We provide training and all the necessary tools if needed to be a success!</div><div><br/></div><div><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></div><ul><li>Must have High School Diploma or Equivalent and must be a US Citizen, 18 years old minimum.</li><li>Looking for someone with Attention to Detail and Dependable.</li><li>Experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.</li><li>DeBurr Technician a plus, but not required. Heizer provides in-house training.
