Join our fast-growing company & work with the best!Currently, we're looking for an experienced Boiler Operator to join our team!Position Summary: The Boiler Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and monitoring of boiler systems and associated equipment. This role involves ensuring that boilers are functioning optimally, performing routine inspections, and conducting repairs as needed. The Boiler Operator will maintain accurate records of operations, manage fuel supply, and comply with safety regulations and environmental standards. Our first of kind systems produce commercial-scale battery materials that are sold into the battery manufacturing supply chain. The Machine Operator at ABTC will collaborate across various departments, including engineering, EHS, Operations, Production, and R&D, to efficiently scale production at our Pilot Plant. The ideal candidate will possess experience in an industrial manufacturing environment and have substantial hands-on manufacturing skills. This role involves monitoring and maintaining process equipment to facilitate production. You will report directly to our shift supervisor.Requirements<ul><li>Monitor and operate a variety of machines throughout the shift.</li><li>Assist with the movement of raw, WIP, and finished materials.</li><li>Use the ERP system to execute assigned jobs and record/report production data and outcomes.</li><li>Report mechanical and physical parts failures to the manager and maintenance department through work orders.</li><li>Monitor product quality and ensure activities are performed to quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and work Instructions.</li><li>Accurately report daily machine production. </li><li>Read and interpret manufacturing orders to ensure the finished products meet specifications. </li><li>Perform changeovers with Maintenance and Engineering teams.</li><li>Work overtime as necessary to cover other shift operators and meet overall production demands.</li></ul><h3>Physical Demands</h3><ul><li>Ability to stand for prolonged periods of up to 6 hours a day. Ability to walk throughout the plant.</li><li>Ability to bend at the waist.</li><li>Ability to lift unassisted 50lbs and assist over 50lbs. This hourly position performs a wide variety of earthwork, construction, and maintenance tasks and regularly transitions between duties as workflow demands. In addition to operating a backhoe, the successful candidate will be trained to operate specialized on-track railroad equipment, including Tamper machines and Ballast Regulators. High School Diploma or GED preferred. Must be able to understand work instructions and communicate effectively with Superintendents and fellow employees.
