The Supply Chain & Purchasing Analytics Intern will support the Purchasing team by developing dashboards, reporting tools, and management summaries that provide visibility into procurement performance, supplier health, and purchasing trends. Our engineers and space scientists are on a mission to eliminate the connectivity gaps faced by today's five billion mobile subscribers and finally bring broadband to the billions who remain unconnected.</div>Position OverviewThe Supply Chain & Purchasing Analytics Intern will support the Purchasing team by developing dashboards, reporting tools, and management summaries that provide visibility into procurement performance, supplier health, and purchasing trends. This role focuses on transforming purchase order and supplier data into actionable insights that enable cost control, process efficiency, and improved supplier performance.The intern will analyze purchasing activity, build structured reporting, and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) to help standardize and scale procurement operations. Projects may include spend analysis, supplier scorecards, PO lifecycle tracking, and data cleanup initiatives. This position offers hands-on experience working cross-functionally with planning, operations, and finance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Interns may be assigned to one of three focus areas: flight hardware procurement, non-flight/CAPEX procurement, or materials planning.This is an internship opportunity, and you must be enrolled in the following semester. Please also be available for the following dates: 5/18/2026 to 8/7/2026Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Develop and maintain purchasing dashboards and recurring management reports</li><li>Track and analyze purchase order activity including volume, types, changes, and lifecycle metrics</li><li>Support spend analysis, pricing trends, lead time analysis, and minimum order quantity optimization</li><li>Assist with supplier data cleanup and supplier master data maintenance</li><li>Build supplier performance scorecards (on-time delivery, quality, responsiveness, and cost)</li><li>Identify cost-saving, consolidation, and process improvement opportunities</li><li>Prepare summaries and presentations for buyers and leadership reviews</li><li>Document procurement processes by shadowing buyers and creating SOPs and playbooks</li><li>Participate in cross-functional meetings with planning, operations, engineering, and finance teams</li></ul>QualificationsEducation<ul><li>Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Supply Chain Management, Business, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field</li><li>Junior year standing preferred</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, basic analytics)</li><li>Experience working with structured data and reporting</li><li>Interest in procurement, supply chain, or operations analytics</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Experience with dashboards or visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)</li><li>Exposure to ERP or procurement systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)</li><li>Coursework in supply chain, operations, or data analytics</li><li>Familiarity with basic financial or cost analysis</li><li>Experience working with large datasets</li></ul>Soft Skills<ul><li>Analytical and detail-oriented mindset</li><li>Strong organizational and documentation skills</li><li>Clear written and verbal communication</li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines</li><li>Collaborative approach to cross-functional problem solving</li></ul>Technology Stack<ul><li>Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, reporting)</li><li>Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools (preferred)</li><li>ERP/Procurement systems (exposure preferred)</li><li>Microsoft PowerPoint for reporting and presentations</li></ul>Physical Requirements<ul><li>Primarily desk-based work with extended computer use</li><li>Occasional attendance in meetings or on-site operational walkthroughs</li></ul>This job description may not be inclusive to the duties and responsibilities listed.
