This position requires exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a high volume of calls with patience and professionalism.<h4 style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;font-weight:500;line-height:1.1;color:#333333;margin-top:10px;margin-bottom:10px;font-size:18px">Key Responsibilities</h4><ul style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:10px;color:#333333;font-size:13px"><li>Schedule and coordinate patient appointments efficiently and accurately.</li><li>Manage incoming calls on a multi-line phone system, providing courteous and professional assistance.</li><li>Book, confirm, and reschedule appointments; relay messages to providers and staff as needed.</li><li>Arrange interpreter or translation services when required and document accordingly.</li><li>Collect and verify patient demographic information, updating records in the scheduling system.</li><li>Maintain up-to-date provider schedules to ensure proper patient placement and workflow.</li><li>Answer inquiries regarding appointments, services, and scheduling procedures.</li><li>Update the master schedule daily with cancellations or additions and notify providers or nurses as appropriate.</li><li>Perform additional administrative duties as assigned by the Supervisor.</li></ul><h4 style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;font-weight:500;line-height:1.1;color:#333333;margin-top:10px;margin-bottom:10px;font-size:18px">Qualifications</h4><ul style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:10px;color:#333333;font-size:13px"><li>High School Diploma or equivalent required.</li><li>Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a medical office or imaging department preferred.</li><li>Previous switchboard or call center experience strongly preferred.</li><li>Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.</li><li>Ability to communicate clearly, remain professional under pressure, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Proficiency with word processing and computer-based scheduling systems.</li><li>Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.</li></ul>Education/Experience: High School Diploma. At least one year work experience in a medical office/Imaging department setting. Prefer prior switchboard operations experience. Knowledge of medical terminology desired.
