Responsible for the didactic and clinical training of learners; which may include paramedic students, flight nurses, perioperative and ICU nursing staff, residents and Fellows from departments outside of anesthesiology, registered Student Nurse Anesthetists, medical students, and administrative and support staff. The department is comprised of over 380 members including faculty physicians, resident physicians and certified registered nurse anesthetists, and is integral to the healthcare, education and research missions at OHSU.
