The Safety Director conducts safety inspections, investigates accidents and near misses, develops policies and procedures, provides employee training, and works collaboratively with management to protect the safety of employees, customers, contractors, and the public while supporting the mission and strategic objectives of DES. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess manual dexterity and visual acuity, as well as the ability to listen and communicate orally and use hands, stand for periods of time, walk, sit, bend, stoop, squat, lift and carry between 50-75 pounds, twist, balance, kneel, crouch, hear, see and perform repetitive motions.
