If you are energized by bringing people, projects, and business opportunities together, this role offers the platform to make a meaningful difference.\n \nThis position's responsibilities include:\n\n Supervise and Manage Department Staff \n Assign work to staff and monitor workload\n Plan and effectively utilize general time to advance the quality and efficiency of the department\n Review and approve the department's employee timesheets and expenses\n Coordinate, evaluate, and recommend department staff training\n Review and approve/deny overtime, vacation, community service requests\n With direction and assistance from human resources, participate in interviews with candidates and selection of staff\n Evaluate department staff; conduct employee performance appraisals and assist with creation and execution of employees' professional development plans\n Oversee Department Workload \n Manage projects and/or provide technical oversight\n Market and obtain projects, including proposal writing, handling "cold calls" on existing and potential clients, presentations, and interviews\n Negotiate and administer contracts\n Review and approve budgets for projects and monitor project performance and profitability\n Review and approve billing each month; prepare reports for billing\n Recommend purchases necessary for the department's operation\n Company Management Functions \n Coordinate department operations with the business unit leader\n Visualize growth areas related to the department\n Work with business unit leader regarding strategic planning for the department\n Work with other departments within Mead & Hunt to coordinate work and staff assignments\n Coordinate with the business unit leader or group leader to develop and monitor annual business plan for the department\n Maintain personal licenses, memberships, registrations, and review/seal documents as required/requested\n Keep up to date on relevant technical and management issues related to the technical discipline as well as management of a department\n Project Management \n Prepare scoping documents, pricing, fee estimates, and marketing strategies for proposed projects and new opportunities.\n \nThe successful candidate must have:\n\n Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a relevant field\n At least 5 years (10+ preferred) of experience in the consulting industry\n PE in any state with the ability to obtain in additional states within one year of selection/hire\n \nThe ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:\n\n Supervisory experience\n Workload management/resource planning experience\n Client management experience\n Project management experience\n* Previous leadership training\n \nYour next leadership opportunity could help shape both careers and communities.
