The Duty Officer is the "on-call" emergency manager for 24-hour coverage on a weeklong rotating schedule to activate the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) during severe weather watches/warnings, to work with public safety partners and state emergency management to report and coordinate significant hazardous materials incidents, as well as begin coordination of other emergency/disaster situations requiring countywide and Emergency Support Function (ESF) partner involvement.
