Responsible for assisting with hiring and managing the performance of part-time promotions staff (Activation Specialists), and equipment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities<ul><li>Coordinate all station events including scheduling Activation Specialist, booking on-air talent, securing giveaway merchandise, setting up signage/tents, conducting site scouting/visits with engineers, deploying vans, acquiring on-air messaging and content, handling any necessary equipment and providing post event recaps as needed.</li><li>Manage promotional marketing expenses (eg. tents, giveaways) and provide accurate forecasting of staff hours for budget and payroll purposes; provide weekly updates to the Manager.</li><li>Attend events and live broadcasts as needed during the week and weekends to supervise and assist the Activation Specialists.</li><li>Effectively develop and manage new on-site or digital events and promotions concepts for the stations and advertisers using resources like creative briefs, Microsoft Excel and other budget management tools.</li><li>Demonstrate the ability to quickly analyze listener data and provide key takeaways back to leadership to influence future marketing and promotions tactics.</li><li>Assist in building proposals, recaps and other necessary collateral for purposes of aiding sales team in monetization of station events and programs.</li><li>Coordinate all on-air promotions for programming and sales: concert tickets, morning show giveaways, etc. with industry management tool, vCreative.</li><li>Call winners and coordinate the fulfillment of all prizes for on-air, events and digital contests.</li><li>Assist in management of listener database, including helping design and implement targeted messaging campaigns designed to acquire and retain listeners.</li></ul>Essential Duties and Responsibilities (continued)<ul><li>Keep station vehicles stocked, cleaned and maintained, ensuring all equipment is always in working condition.</li><li>Prepare promotional giveaways and other necessary elements for live broadcasts, contests and other like events.</li><li>Build guest lists as well as design, print and laminate station credentials for concerts and other events as needed.</li><li>Partner with CMG Legal and other internal resources to generate contest rules as needed.</li><li>Assist in the interview process for new Activation Specialists as well as train and develop them through effective implementation of the Activation Specialist Development Program.</li><li>Support Digital Content Manager by assisting with content creation, monitoring, events calendar, contests/web, graphic creation, design.</li><li>Perform other essential duties as assigned by CMG Leadership.</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications<ul><li>Minimum of two years successful experience in promotions, marketing or event planning.</li><li>Highly adaptable and professional.</li><li>Ability to participate in high-level client and corporate meetings as well as relate to the audiences of our distinct radio brands.</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills to effectively build internal and external relationships.</li><li>Strong organizational, planning, problem solving and decision-making skills.</li><li>Able to multi-task in a high-speed environment.</li><li>High work standards and degree of attention to detail.</li><li>High integrity and customer focused.</li><li>Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays throughout the year.</li><li>Strong computer, digital and social media expertise.</li><li>Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, Tableau, Photoshop, PromoSuite and social media platforms.</li><li>Valid drivers license with clean driving record</li></ul>About Cox Media GroupCMG Media Corporation (d/b/a Cox Media Group) is an industry-leading media company with unparalleled brands, award-winning content, and exceptional team members.
