The position requires accuracy, concentration/vigilance, decision making, responding to emergencies (on call), frequently changing tasks, high volume of work, handling multiple or complicated tasks, interruptions, working over 40 hours per week, public contact, stressful situations, teamwork, time pressures, unscheduled tasks, and working in close proximity with others. The position may be exposed to emotionally charged situations, traumatic subject matter (crime scenes, accidents, etc.), working indoors, outdoors while traveling to court, meetings, or work, bright lighting, driving (court, crime scene response, or meetings), heat (walking to court, work, or meetings), and noise.
