Responsibilities: The Staff Physician is responsible for performing physical exams, diagnosing and treating illnesses, and managing chronic conditions, ensuring care is provided to protect the rights, dignity, and health of our unique patient population. As a Correctional Staff Physician, you will be responsible for providing quality medical care to meet the healthcare needs of the patients within the facility, while working alongside correctional officers and other medical professionals.

<a href="https://www.naphcare.com/" rel="noopener nofollow noreferrer" style="color:#0563c1;text-decoration:underline" target="_blank">NaphCare</a> is hiring a Staff Physician to join our team of medical professionals in the Yuma - Arizona Department of Corrections in San Luis, Arizona. Pay rates range from $120.00 to $137.00 per hour based on shift, site needs, hire status, and experience.    Full Time and Part Time positions may be available! This can be onsite or remote. As a Correctional Staff Physician, you will be responsible for providing quality medical care to meet the healthcare needs of the patients within the facility, while working alongside correctional officers and other medical professionals.

Responsibilities:
The Staff Physician is responsible for performing physical exams, diagnosing and treating illnesses, and managing chronic conditions, ensuring care is provided to protect the rights, dignity, and health of our unique patient population. Responsibilities may include and not be limited to:<ul style="margin-bottom:0.0001pt;margin-top:0px"><li style="margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt 0px;line-height:normal;font-size:11pt;font-family:'calibri' , sans-serif">Formulating working diagnoses, developing and implementing treatment plans, and evaluating/modifying therapeutic regimens</li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt 0px;line-height:normal;font-size:11pt;font-family:'calibri' , sans-serif">Evaluating patients who have returned from off-site treatment</li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt 0px;line-height:normal;font-size:11pt;font-family:'calibri' , sans-serif">Responding to and initiating care for medical emergencies throughout the facility</li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt 0px;line-height:normal;font-size:11pt;font-family:'calibri' , sans-serif">Coordinating, leading and participating in educational and training activities related to medical care for patients</li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt 0px;line-height:normal;font-size:11pt;font-family:'calibri' , sans-serif">Conducting rounds in the medical and infirmary units</li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt 0px;line-height:normal;font-size:11pt;font-family:'calibri' , sans-serif">Ensuring compliance with State and Federal mandates and regulations, including court mandates and standards</li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt 0px;line-height:normal;font-size:11pt;font-family:'calibri' , sans-serif">Collaborating on with other medical professionals to ensure staff are responsive to patients’ needs</li></ul>

Qualifications:
