Work directly with students who exhibit interfering behaviors and provide support and professional learning for staff who work with such students; Collect data via direct observation and consultation with classroom teachers, and recommend appropriate modifications to support student behavior; Conduct functional behavioral assessments as needed in conjunction with the building team, and develop Behavior Intervention Plans; Work directly with students regarding their behavioral goals and implementation of behavior intervention plans; Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with administrators, teachers, teaching assistants, and students; Utilize consulting skills to ensure implementation and maintenance of intervention plans, including data collection; Provide training and assistance in, and modeling of, behavioral intervention procedures and explicit teaching and replacement behaviors; Develop and maintain a schedule that supports building needs, including being flexible and receptive to change; Document outcomes, maintain accurate records of activities and data. Job Summary: Under the general supervision of the Director of Pupil Services, and in collaboration with the building-level administration, provide direct and consultative services for students with behavioral challenges; provide training and work collaboratively with building administrators, certified staff, and teaching assistants to demonstrate best practices, strategies, and techniques to enhance their ability to address interfering behaviors with the classroom setting, and provide training to parents as recommended.
