As MH coordinator will: organize efforts of the team (physicians/midlevels/counselors) to provide appropriate MH services to our patients, collaborate with other West River entities for awareness of services, cooperation and assistance, and promote WRHS MH services in community including wellness services and advertising. In collaboration with the physician will provide services to patients requiring continuing care (extended care) including follow-up visits after the initial treatment by the physician.

Position Summary: Primary focus on mental health issues including all ages across the lifespan from the community and other areas. Assessment, interventions, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation of treatment plan, psychotherapy, care management, consultation, and health promotion. Excellence in Practice:<ul><li>Primary focus on mental health issues.  Includes all ages across the lifespan from the community and other areas.  Assessment, interventions, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation of treatment plan, psychotherapy, care management, consultation and health promotion.</li><li>Health promotion is conducted by providing in-services to staff and patients, public speaking on health related issues and attending health fairs.</li><li>Comprehensive assessment and decision making about care needs of individuals, families and groups.</li><li>Assists with planning, maintaining and evaluating education needs for patients and community.</li><li>Competent with clinical counseling skills.  Is knowledgeable in the assessment, treatment and care of specific populations such as neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatrics and developmentally disabled as appropriate to level of licensure and responsibilities.</li><li>Seeks timely consultations.  Informed consents complete and appropriate.  Coordination of care and advocating for patient in the health care setting.  Medical records completed in a timely manner.  Assessment focusing on psychological, sociological and spiritual aspects.</li><li>In collaboration with the physician will provide services to patients requiring continuing care (extended care) including follow-up visits after the initial treatment by the physician.</li><li>Collaborates in covering the needs of the satellite clinics and hospital.</li><li>Exhibit strong communication skills, especially during therapy sessions.</li><li>Displays ethical decision making.</li><li>Comfortable in stressful situations.</li><li>As MH coordinator will:  organize efforts of the team (physicians/midlevels/counselors) to provide appropriate MH services to our patients, collaborate with other West River entities for awareness of services, cooperation and assistance, and promote WRHS MH services in community including wellness services and advertising.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Education: Master’s Degree</li><li>Experience: Five years experience in counseling</li><li>License Requirements: ND and SD LPCC licensure of LISW licensure.</li></ul>**This is not a remote position**Powered by JazzHR
