The EMS Analyst's key responsibilities include: Analyzing, recommending, and implementing solutions to improve the EMS system; Evaluating operational, contractual, and clinical performance and recommending methods to improve performance; Serving as a liaison between the EMS system, County, and other stakeholders; Coordinating and leading stakeholder meetings; Writing technical and policy reports; Assisting in the certification and accreditation of prehospital personnel; Conducting EMS case reviews to ensure high quality prehospital medical care and adherence to county protocols; Managing, reviewing, and revising EMS System multi-casualty incident (MCI), medical disaster preparedness, and response programs; Developing and revising, through a consensus-based process, EMS System clinical and operational policies and procedures; And development, maintenance, and application of professional knowledge in applicable areas including job-related rules, statutes, laws, professional literature, and industry trends; Managing programs, including Quality Improvement/Quality Assurance (QI/QA) programs.
