One or more years of related experience in shipping and/or receiving or warehousing; • Knowledge of commonly used shipping and receiving processes and practices; • Experience operating a forklift, RF Scan Gun, Pallet Ryder and other material handling equipment; • Ability to communicate effectively and respond to questions and requests from team, customers and others; • Effective written communication skills using appropriate business English; • Human relations skills to maintain effective working relationships with team; • Effective customer service skills; • Intermediate computer literacy including knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation software; • Basic mathematical ability including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; • Demonstrated customer service, problem solving and common sense skills. Under limited supervision, the Shipping and/or Receiving Lead oversees the preparation, handling, and shipment of completed products through the shipping department, to final customer destinations; and/or the receipt of inbound shipments of materials and coordinates activities involved in unloading, verifying, inspecting and confirming orders.
