p>All applicants must have either: • (A) Bachelor degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Special Education, Recreation or in Education from an accredited school/institution and work experience in a recreation or education setting for the exceptional child/adult, or in a formal inclusion program for the exceptional child/adult, • (B) An Associate degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Special Education, Recreation or in Education from an accredited school/institution and 1560 hours of paid experience working in a recreation or education setting for the exceptional child/adult, or in a formal inclusion program for the exceptional child/adult, • (C) High school graduate or GED from an accredited school/institution and 4680 hours of paid experience working in a recreation or education setting for the exceptional child/adult, or in a formal inclusion program for the exceptional child/adult, • (D) Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator license issued by the State of Florida. • The specialist organizes, instructs individuals or groups in arts and crafts, low organized games, team sports, individual sports and other recreational activities that can be modified to their abilities.
