<p>Responsible for all human resources policies and programs, including compensation and benefits administration, employee relations, record keeping, training, equal employment opportunity (EEO), organizational development, staffing, safety, security, and employee communications for the assigned location.</p><h5>The salary range for this position is $86,775-$144,625.</h5><h5>The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.</h5><h5>This position is bonus eligible with a target value of 10% of salary.</h5><p>Leadership</p><ul><li>Advise and assist site managers in all areas of human resources responsibility.</li><li>Aid in ascertaining employee compliance regarding policies such as attendance, job performance, quality and assist in the corrective action process as needed. Address performance issues promptly.</li><li>Act as a site leader for employee communications along with site manager.</li><li>Lead and oversee all activities related to time collection, payroll system and HRIS management.</li><li>Develop and provide training in leadership, management, and supervisory skills.</li><li>Assist with succession planning and employee development. Lead site activities around structured, written hourly and salaried talent development plans.</li><li>Drive innovation in all aspects of human resources.</li><li>Mentor and develop local HR Generalist in all functions of their role.</li></ul><p>Compliance</p><ul><li>Comply with and ensure adherence to all federal, state, local, and corporate legal requirements including advising site management.</li><li>Coordinate HR related legal activity with Division HR, Corporate Legal, and outside counsel as directed.</li><li>Remain current on changes in employment laws such as Americans with Disabilities act (ADA), Family medical Leave Act (FMLA), Federal Labor Standards Act (FSLA), etc. and ensure compliance with all employment laws.</li><li>Ensure the security and maintenance of human resource files, including, personnel, benefits, medical, and payroll.</li></ul><p>Talent Management</p><ul><li>Maintain an effective recruitment process for hourly and salaried employees.</li><li>Actively engage with community groups and organizations to ensure Rayonier is the premiere employer in the area.</li><li>Perform pre-employment activities and employee orientations.</li><li>Manage the posting process, selection procedure, and filling of job openings.</li><li>Advise on performance by coaching and counseling managers and employees.</li><li>Manage the bid system for the posting and filling of job openings. Follow all contract language surrounding internal staffing needs.</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources Management, or related field is required.</li><li>Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification preferred.</li><li>At least five (5) years of progressive HR generalist experience required.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills and experience resolving HR issues required.</li><li>Ability to make clear and persuasive presentations and ability to plan and complete complex projects and lead project teams.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive/confidential information in a discreet and professional manner.</li><li>Microsoft computer skills including working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and other HR information systems.</li><li>Must have a solid understanding of the site’s business and the environment it operates in, being sensitive to economic, social, and political factors impacting site.</li><li>Office environment but significant amount of time in a mill is expected, creating exposure to noise, heat, and dust requiring safety equipment to be worn.</li></ul><h5>We offer a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life and disability insurance, paid time off and additional voluntary benefits.</h5><h5>Rayonier is an EEO/Veteran/Disabled Employer.</h5>
