MS1 cares for general medical-surgical, oncology (no chemo administration), limited pediatric (over age 1, no peds assignments), and surgical patients (gallbladder, appendectomy, colectomy, ostomy, TURP). MS2 Ortho/Neuro handles observation, orthopedic (total hips, knees, shoulders), and neuro cases (spine surgery, stroke, TIA, altered mental status).
