The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner position in the College of Nursing provides direct mental health care in an innovative partnership with at Bluebonnet Trails Community Services, a local mental health authority in Central Texas, to provide care in an integrated behavioral health setting to patients with psychiatric, substance use disorder and mental/behavioral health conditions. Performs history, psychosocial, and physical examinations, diagnosis acute and chronic conditions, formulates therapeutic plans of care, ordering and interpreting laboratory and diagnostic tests, medication management and provides education to patients and their families.
