Assesses, diagnoses when necessary, and evaluates patient’s status and the effectiveness of mental health care using tools deemed appropriate by clinical setting, such as the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5), to create an individualized plan of care that includes cultural diversity and special needs appropriate to the patient population served. Working within the State of Wisconsin professional counselor’s scope of practice, the Mental Health Clinician (Licensed) provides evaluation and treatment services for individual, family, and group therapy to primarily adult patients.
