The role ensures that all students are properly prepared for the reception of the Sacraments of Penance, Eucharist, and Confirmation, in alignment with Roman Catholic Church standards and U.S. Army contractual requirements.<h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Certified by the Roman Catholic Church to coordinate and teach CCD.</li><li>Master’s degree in Theology, Religious Education, or related field (preferred).</li><li>Minimum 3–5 years of experience in parish religious education, youth ministry, or Catholic school teaching.</li><li>Strong leadership and supervisory skills with demonstrated success in managing volunteers.</li></ul><h3> Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Program Oversight – Develop and maintain CCD curriculum, schedule, and materials; provide instruction as needed.</li><li>Volunteer Management – Recruit, train, and supervise CCD volunteers; ensure all pass background checks.</li><li>Student Preparation – Track student progress, maintain records, and coordinate sacrament preparation and testing.</li><li>Facility Coordination – Secure classrooms and resources; submit supply requests.</li></ul>  Powered by JazzHR

Position Title: Catholic Religious Education Coordinator (CREC) Location: Joint Base Andrews (JBA) Chapel, MD Position Type: Full-Time Position Summary: The Catholic Religious Education Coordinator (CREC) is responsible for the planning, coordination, execution, and administration of comprehensive Catholic religious education programs at Joint Base Andrews. Working in direct coordination with the Chaplain-in-Charge, the CREC ensures all programs are delivered in a structured, compliant, and mission-supportive manner aligned with Department of Defense (DoD) and Archdiocese for the Military Services (AMS) requirements. Duties:<ul style="margin-top:16px;margin-bottom:11px"><li style="margin-top:16px;margin-left:8px">Plan, coordinate, and execute Catholic religious education programs (RCIA, CCD, VBS, Baptismal Prep, and Holy Day events) in alignment with chaplain guidance. </li><li style="margin-top:16px;margin-left:8px">Recruit, train, mentor, and manage volunteer teachers and assistants, including maintaining training records and participation tracking. </li><li style="margin-top:16px;margin-left:8px">Coordinate with chapel leadership, staff, and councils; conduct parent meetings and support youth ministry engagement. </li><li style="margin-top:16px;margin-left:8px">Prepare and submit required deliverables including weekly activity reports, annual program review, after-action reports (AARs), and quarterly financial projections. </li><li style="margin-top:16px;margin-bottom:11px;margin-left:8px">Develop and submit promotional materials, supply requests, and ministry event proposals (90 days in advance) for chaplain approval.</li></ul>Powered by JazzHR
