Appropriate successful experience in the workplace or in a classroom that will lead to successful university-level teaching and mentoring in an acceptable subset of the following areas: Familiarity with higher education, curriculum planning, course development, best teaching and administrative practice, learning management systems. Candidates with graduate degrees in related disciplines, such as English, writing, public relations, or media production, may be considered when their academic preparation and professional experience clearly support teaching and leadership in a journalism program.
