Department Specific Functions: Assist with ongoing NIH-funded research projects investigating the role of the gut-brain axis in opioid-associated comorbidities, including pain, neuroinflammation, and microbiome dysbiosis. Participate in laboratory techniques including DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, ELISA, tissue processing, immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, microbiome sample preparation, and molecular biology assays.
