WVCI, which is part of The US Oncology Network, provides their patients with start of the art clinical trials to help patients on their journey through the cancer care continuum. This individual would be working directly with the patients taking part in the studies, coordinating with medical and research team involved. While clinical research experience is preferred, an individual with a passion for all things clinical and analytical will find success in this role. This role will also support and adhere to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards. The general pay scale for this position at WVCI is $45.00 - $65.00. The actual hiring rate is dependent on many factors, including but not limited to: prior work experience, education, job/position responsibilities, location, work performance, internal equity, etc. Employment Type: Full time, 40 hrs (1.0 FTE)Benefits: M/D/V, Life Ins., 401(k)Location: Albany, OR. Training for a possible 3-6 months in Eugene.

Responsibilities:
<ul><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Screens potential patients for protocol eligibility.</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Presents trial concepts and details to the patients, participates in the informed consent process, and enrolls patients on protocol.</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Coordinates patient care in compliance with protocol requirements.</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">May disburse investigational drug and provide patient teaching regarding administration.</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Maintains investigational drug accountability.</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">In collaboration with the physician, reviews patients for changes in condition, adverse events, concomitant medication use, protocol compliance, response to study drug and thoroughly documents all findings.</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Responsible for accurate and timely data collection, documentation, entry, and reporting.</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Schedules and participates in monitoring and auditing activities.</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Maintains regulatory documents in accordance with USOR SOP and applicable regulations.</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Participates in required training and education programs.</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Responsible for education of clinic staff regarding clinical research.</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">May collaborate with Research Site Leader in the study selection process.</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Additional responsibilities may include working directly with other (non-USOR) research bases and/or sponsors.</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Provides a safe environment for patients, families, and clinical staff at all time through compliance with all federal, state, and professional regulatory standards as issued through OSHA and the CDC. Maintains strict patient confidentiality according to HIPAA regulations and applicable law.</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>

Qualifications:
<ul><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Associate's degree in a clinical or scientific related discipline desired, Bachelor's degree preferred.</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">RN License in Oregon REQUIRED</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Minimum two to three (2-3) years of experience in a clinical or scientific related discipline, preferably in oncology.</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Oncology research experience preferred.</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">EMR experience preferred. </li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">SoCRA or ACRP certification preferred.</li></ul> PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Leader Medical Affairs - req1704 OVERVIEW Lead a team of clinical and technical experts dedicated to positively impacting clinical care by effectively translating innovative imaging solutions to the clinical environment. Manage clinical evidence generation strategy and implementation through clinical research and evaluation activities. Identify and build key clinical customer/partner relationships in order to comprehensively support clinical evaluation plans and product messaging strategies while serving the needs of patients. Represent Canon medical as a clinical and technical expert of the product line technology and communicate product intelligence to company stakeholders, key partners, collaborators, and external experts. Effectively collaborate with multiple teams including R&D, global and local business, marketing solutions, regulatory, applications, and service. RESPONSIBILITIES This is a remote based position in the USA + Manage clinical research and validation strategy for the product-line.
