Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Receives referrals from throughout the community which includes but is not limited to the following: hospitals, first responders, jails, attorneys, mobile crisis outreach, community services, CCBHC services and so on. </li><li>Provides direct Community-Based (in the field) mental health assessments, intervention, and consultation to individuals identified by the court system as in need of a potential involuntary commitment.</li><li>Evaluates each client for diagnosis, recommends appropriate service (including interviewing client and accompanying family or friends; providing crisis intervention; arriving at recommendation.</li><li>Interacts with patients, family, and support systems to reduce barriers and promote progression of care. Provides assessment, counseling, information and referral, advocacy services, and other resource assistance as indicated.</li><li>Provides direct mental health services to identified individuals incarcerated within a county jail in the service region.</li><li>Provides assistance with linkage to necessary resources in the community (entitlements, employers, housing, etc.)</li></ul>
