They are currently in the process of acquiring an established rheumatology practice, while also building out rheumatology as a service line. This creates a unique opportunity to step into an existing patient base or help grow a program from the ground up.The Position: The Rheumatologist will diagnose and treat rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, gout, and a full spectrum of autoimmune conditions. This is primarily an outpatient position with the option to incorporate inpatient work if desired. The role is designed to integrate rheumatologic expertise directly into the ILD care model, working side-by-side with pulmonology, transplant, and multidisciplinary specialty teams.

The role is designed to integrate rheumatologic expertise directly into the ILD care model, working side-by-side with pulmonology, transplant, and multidisciplinary specialty teams.The successful candidate will contribute to:<ul><li>Enhanced diagnostic accuracy for CTD-ILD</li><li>Optimization of autoimmune disease management in ILD patients</li><li>Support of lung transplant evaluation and longitudinal care for complex rheumatologic patients</li><li>Expansion of regional and tertiary referral pathways for advanced lung disease</li></ul>This is an outstanding opportunity to shape and grow a multidisciplinary ILD program with strong institutional support, academic collaboration, and leadership engagement.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Provide specialized rheumatologic care for ILD patients, with a focus on CTD-ILD</li><li>Participate actively in multidisciplinary ILD conferences and transplant evaluation discussions</li><li>Collaborate closely with pulmonology, transplant, cardiology, radiology, and pathology teams</li><li>Support longitudinal management of patients undergoing lung transplant evaluation and post-transplant care</li><li>Contribute to program development, clinical innovation, and potential research initiatives in ILD</li><li>Joint Rheumatology-ILD clinic</li></ul>Ideal Candidate Qualifications<ul><li>Board-certified or board-eligible in Rheumatology</li><li>Demonstrated comfort and effectiveness working in multidisciplinary clinical teams (Rheumatology, ILD, Transplant)</li><li>Deep clinical understanding of connective tissue diseases including:<ul><li>Systemic sclerosis</li><li>Rheumatoid arthritis-associated ILD</li><li>Myositis-associated ILD</li><li>Sjgrens syndrome</li><li>Mixed connective tissue disease</li></ul></li><li>Familiarity with or strong interest in lung transplant evaluation and care</li><li>Commitment to collaborative care, clinical excellence, and program growth</li></ul>Special Training & Experience<ul><li>Fellowship training in Rheumatology</li><li>Additional expertise or fellowship training in myositis strongly preferred</li><li>Clear passion for and clinical focus on interstitial lung disease</li></ul>

The Rheumatologist will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients in an outpatient setting with rheumatic diseases, including arthritis, autoimmune diseases, and musculoskeletal disorders.
