Skills and Abilities: • Strong clinical decision-making and critical thinking skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills • Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement • Ability to work in a hospital environment, which may involve exposure to infectious diseases and high-stress situations • Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies • Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations • Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy • This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc. Licensure/Certification: • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in Utah • Board certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP), Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AG-ACNP), or Physician Assistant (PA-C) • DEA Certificate II through V - DOJ Drug Enforcement Division • ACLS and BLS certification for healthcare providers.
