Join Our Dynamic Progressive Care Unit Team!** **Job Description:** - **Unit Information:** - Number of Beds: 15 - Number of Staff: 22 (RN/PCT) - **Staff Composition:** - Day Shift: 3-4 RNs, 2 PCTs, 1 Clinical Coordinator - Night Shift: 3-4 RNs, 1 PCT - **Patient Ratios:** - 4-5 patients per RN - **Equipment:** - Cardiac Telemetry - Chest tubes - Cardiac drips (NTG, Cardizem, Amiodarone) - Post-catheterization patients - Post-surgical patients including open heart, lung, general surgery, and orthopedic patients requiring cardiac monitoring - **Electronic Medical Record:** - Meditech - **Typical Procedures:** - Post cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology studies, device placements, groin management, chest tube management, post-operative care - Administration of critical drips, epidurals, PCA - **Experience Required:** - Minimum 2 years PCU experience - Proficient in cardiac rhythms and management of surgical patients - Experience with chest tubes and epidurals - **Personality Fit:** - Outgoing and team-oriented - Willingness to go above and beyond for patient care - Strong time management skills to handle high patient turnover - **Required Certifications:** - BLS & ACLS - **Floating Areas:** - ICU with PCU-type patients, PCU, Med-surg (5 patients) - **Dress Code:** - Scrub Color: Navy or white, mix or match - **Work Schedule:** - Every other weekend or 4 weekend shifts **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
