Cynet HealthNewTravel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $2,081 per week in Meridian, ID Cynet HealthTravel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $2,081 per week in Meridian, IDMeridian, ID$2,081–$2,081Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, EKG certification Must-Have: - 2 years of MedSurg experience - EPIC experience - Ability to read and interpret telemetry - Willingness to take students and precept new travelers Description: Department: MedSurg Number of Beds: 42 Nurse-Patient Ratios: 1:5, occasional 1:6 (very rarely) Common Diagnoses/Types of Patients: - Total joints - Orthopedic hip fractures - Spine surgeries (lumbar and cervical) - Urology procedures - General surgeries (cholecystectomies, bowel resections, complicated mastectomies) - GYN overflow (total hysterectomies) - Medical overflow (COPD, some behavioral health, sepsis, infections) Experience/Skills: - 2 years of MedSurg experience required - EPIC experience is necessary - Ability to read and interpret telemetry is essential - Must be willing to take students and may be required to precept new travelers Nursing Structure: - Charge Nurse on each shift, rarely takes patients unless needed - Day shift includes an admissions/discharge nurse to assist with admissions, discharges, and tasks - Nurse aids and patient care techs available (1:8 ratio) Medical Equipment: - CPAP and BiPAP equipment managed by respiratory therapy - High flow oxygen available - Virtual telemetry technicians manage monitoring Scheduling: - 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM - Weekend shifts required (5 weekends in a 6-week period) - Holiday work may be required based on need - No call or standby requirements Floating Requirements: - May float between similar units within a specified radius - Potential to float to emergency department for holds or one-on-one patient care Dress Code: - Any color scrubs as long as they are clean and professional
