Job Duties/Responsibilities: Prepares room in a timely manner with all anticipated instruments, sutures, supplies and equipment for each individual surgical procedure, or all anticipated endoscopes, instruments, supplies and equipment of each individual procedure Accurately completes operating room counts (instruments, sponges, sharps); follows proper procedure in the event of incorrect count; reports all discrepancies to Circulating RN and surgeon and/or corrects immediately Carries out medical/surgical asepsis during treatments/procedures Sets up, scrubs and prepares for procedures at least 15 minutes prior to scheduled time, unless otherwise directed by Circulating RN, Charge Nurse or Director. Operating acute care hospitals, behavioral health facilities, outpatient facilities and ambulatory care access points, an insurance offering, a physician network and various related services located all over the U.S. States, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the United Kingdom.
