The Nurses and Surgical Technologists provide intraoperative care for a variety of service lines including Orthopedics, General, GYN, Robotics, Neuro, Breast, ENT, Plastics, Urology, Ophthalmology, and Endoscopy. ● If hired after January 6, 2014, must be enrolled within four years of employment, and obtain a Bachelor's degree with a major in Nursing or a Master's degree with a major in Nursing within seven years of employment date.

Demonstrates competence in patient care skills within the scope of practice for the Registered Nurse, to include patient assessment, assisting with exams and procedures, administering medications, and patient education. Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions from patients, physicians, family members, and other Rex staff.

This unit supports patients with complex medical needs, post-operative recovery, chronic illness management, and transitional levels of care.
