Our nurses benefit from ongoing professional development and gain expertise in managing a diverse range of critical conditions, including ARDS, COVID-19, RSV, hydrocephalus, seizures, sepsis, unstable or new CPAP/BiPAP patients, new tracheostomy care, trauma, transplant, orthopedic, neurosurgical cases, and gastrointestinal and endocrine diseases. The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Atrium Health Levine Children's Hospital is a newly expanded, state-of-the-art 24-bed unit designed to provide the highest level of critical care for our most complex pediatric patients.
